...our new app!
Just over nine months after Reality of Illness launched — a baby is about to be born — our new app for mobile users.
After a lot of thought and a great deal of work we are going to give the terrain advocates something utterly unique.
When I say ‘unique’ absolutely nothing like our app exists in the app space and we will quite literally be the only app that is specifically advancing the terrain paradigm as far as we know.
There are a few things only the app will do and we will be giving the full details as soon as it is available.
But here is a taster
Map
You can, if you choose, put yourself anonymously on a global support map that shows approximate locations for all the notable people.
Note: Locations are approximate to maintain privacy
If you wish to add your own pin to the map you can append it with a 60 character message to the world as a global and very visible show of hands.

Note: Your pin location is always randomly offset to maintain your privacy and only shows a username which you can choose or can be randomly assigned to you when you register to use the app.
Checker
You can pit your wits against the experts with a new awareness checker having 30 true/false questions provided by Tom Cowan, Mike Stone, Andrew Kaufman, Dawn Lester, Marizelle Arce, Amandha Vollmer, Viktor Ardens Frei, and Betsy Burnum with input from Mark Bailey and Daniel Roytas.

Voting
Weekly and overall popularity ranking is now totally in the control of the app-user champions and done automatically each week from their personal collections. This helps new people to the terrain perspective know what to focus on first ...so what better than to put this responsibility in the hands of those who know best?
The whole website will soon be upgraded to reflect these new features but meantime if you use the website you can pre-register your interest.
User restriction
The app is not intended for mass uptake. We want it in the hands of those who truly champion the terrain perspective so initially users will be restricted to 250.
